Doubleheader Roller Derby Action: Cincinnati Rollergirls vs. Philly Roller Girls

The Cincinnati Rollergirls, members of the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA), will return to skate at the Cincinnati Gardens at 7 p.m. this Saturday, May 17.  The two teams that make up the Cincinnati Rollergirls will both be in action.  The 26^th ranked CRG Black Sheep will host the 9^th ranked Liberty Belles of the Philly Roller Girls in the main event, while CRG’s “B” team, the Silent Lambs, will skate against the Black-n-Bluegrass Rollergirls of Northern Kentucky. 

The two bouts will feature a unique doubleheader style that begins at 7 p.m.  The first bout will feature the first half of the Silent Lambs and Black-n-Bluegrass Rollergirls bout.  During halftime of the first bout, the first half of the second bout between the Black Sheep and Liberty Belles will be played.  During halftime of the second bout, there will be a short intermission and then the second half of the first bout between the Silent Lambs and Black-n-Bluegrass Rollergirls will be played.  Once the first bout is complete, the concluding second half of the Black Sheep and Liberty Belles bout will be played. 

        The approximate start times for each half of both bouts is listed below 

7:00 p.m.           1^st half – CRG Silent Lambs vs. Black-n-Bluegrass Rollergirls

7:35 p.m.           1^st half – CRG Black Sheep vs. Philly Roller Girls Liberty Belles

8:10 p.m.           2^nd half - CRG Silent Lambs vs. Black-n-Bluegrass Rollergirls

8:45 p.m.           2^nd half - CRG Black Sheep vs. Philly Roller Girls Liberty Belles

Special pricing is available for children ages 12 and under; $5 in advance and $7.50 the day of the show and all kids 6 and under get in free.  Tickets for adults are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show.  All tickets are available at the Cincinnati Gardens Box Office, at all Ticketmaster Outlets including select Kroger stores, charge by phone at 513-562-4949 or online at ticketmaster.com. 

Special $1, happy hour beer prices will be available between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.  Parking is free at Cincinnati Gardens for all 2008 Cincinnati Rollergirls events.
