Tri for Joe

Tri for Joe is a multi-sport event held on May 18th at Coney Island.

The event consists of a triathlon, duathlon and 5k run walk. There is also a children's fun run for ages 8 and under. All proceeds from the event go to the DSAGC (Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati).

Why Tri for Joe? Joe is the oldest son of Jennifer and Tom Gerstle. His diagnosis of Down syndrome was quite a shock to his parents and family. Tom is an avid, triathlete and thought that a triathlon to benefit DSAGC would be a great way to pay back the DSAGC for all the help they have and continue to provide. Proceeds from Tri for Joe go toward helping new parents adjust to having a child with Down syndrome.
