Five out of the 52 nuns remain alive at the Little Sisters of Hoboken, where their cook Sister Julia, Child of God, accidentally killed the rest with her vichyssoise. Upon discovering the disaster, Mother Superior decides they need to raise funds to bury the nuns. With four nuns left in the freezer and no funds, the five remaining nuns decide to stage a variety show to raise the money to let the dead runs rest in peace. What ensues is an audience pleasing fun filled show with outrageous songs and dancing and a great audience quiz. NUNSENSE started out as a cabaret act in New York City, and spawned into an international sensation, complete with six sequels, four Outer Critics Circle Awards and a staggering 3,672 performances Off-Broadway.
