Tropicana is a somewhat satisfying venue due entirely to the clientele. The bartenders are obnoxious and oblivious, and at the door, it is understandable not to be let in with a tank-top, but to be denied entry for wearing a plain white T-Shirt, not an undershirt, is flat out ridiculous. It (solid white) apparantly is a gang color, even on a white male with no cap or other markings. This coming from door jockeys that are unshaven with half tucked in shirts looking more like they're ready to mug someone than let them in. In short, I have been very disappointed by this "Restaurant", they suck.

When this place first opened, it was amazing. Now it is just a meat market. Way too many people go there. There is no room to walk and it takes forever to get a drink.

Meat market, and seriously overpriced. The bartenders have a "hotter than thou" attitude and never seem happy to serve you. If you can even get their attention

To eat... YES!!! To hang out no. Very snobby crowd and not what I am into.

Great place to go when you're eating on the company dole, even I as a six figure exec tend to think there are better values out there though.

Overpriced for hanging out, little bar area, limited drink selection

I have to so no to this one because none of my friends would like it. There isn't much room on the dance floor, the prices are too high (unless you can go in the middle of the week for a special night) and the food was good, but not for what you'd pay. Tends to draw a crowd in their 30s and up.

Everyone says it's a hot spot, but I consistently encounter nothing but pretentious people - not for me.

The food is very expensive, and you do not leave feeling stuffed like at other expensive places. I thought it was overrated.
